1. Gerald Mills and Charles Boon are the founders of the Mills & Boon publishing house. They started working out of offices in Covent Garden, London, in 1908.

Today, Mills & Boon Publishing, in collaboration with Harlequin Books, publishes nine types of romance novels.u00a0 These include history (knights or scruffy soldiers and princesses), medical (emergency room romance), blaze and desire (action-packed), special moments (family stories with pets, kids etc), intrigue (cops and robbers, spies) and paranormal (vampires, witches and more).
3. The Mills & Boon website reveals that the shelf life of a single new title is a month. Makes sense because no one really re-reads a romance novel.
