When we headed down to Gettogether, on Mumbai's wettest Tuesday ever, we arrived soaked to our skins and miserable.

"This had better be worth it," we muttered under our breaths. The guys inside might as well have read our minds.

Since Gettogether was a dhaba in its earlier avatar, it had a detailed Indian section minus elaborate Chinese and Continental sections.

Veg Spring Rolls

We began with the Chicken Kali Mirch Kebab (Rs 120), which the manager vouched for, and Chicken Caesar Salad (Rs 130).

The Chicken Kali Mirch was easily the dish of the day, as it was perfectly tender and juicy while the mirchi had the right amount of bite.

The Ceasar Salad impressed too, with the chicken roasted perfectly and the lettuce, crisp and nicely dressed (we could have done with extra dressing).

Deciding to give the Chinese section a try, we ordered for Veg Spring Rolls (Rs 75), which passed the muster, and turned out to be its weakest link.

Since their kebab was a clear winner we opted for an Indian main course.

Next up was Garlic Naan (Rs 30), (Rs 30) Dal Makhni (Rs 75) and Mutton Green Masala (Rs 130) (though they suggested Rogan Josh). The Garlic Naan was good enough to eat by itself.u00a0

For that matter the Dal Makhani too. Piping hot and with the right amount of cream tadka, it made our rainy evening. The mutton was soft but a tad too rich for our palate.

We ended our dinner with the perfect bowl of Phirni (Rs 30), which was a wee bit grainy and not too sweet. Just like it is supposed to be.

With a relatively small AC section, Gettogether isn't big on ambience but ideal for a value for money meal, if you're in the area.
