This Diwali, go easy on diyas, try lighting up your home with flash ice cubes, instead. The ice cubes make the entire process of lighting up ones home for the festive season completely hassle-free. All you have to do is drop the cubes in water and watch them glow.



The flash ice cubes come in many colours -- purple, blue green, yellow and white -- and are available in two shapes, square (Rs 50) and heart-shaped (Rs 60). The cubes stop glowing once they're taken out of the water and can be reused for upto 40 to 50 hours. To preserve the cubes, simply wipe them and store them away. The cubes can also be frozen and used to give your drinking a glowing chill at a party.

Swati Shah, co-owner of Besos, the store that's stocking these ice cubes, says she's received a tremendous response for the product. "Lots of people are buying these flash ice cubes to use them as diyas. They are really cute and non-fussy. Plus, they work as a good gifting option too," she says.
