Holi's the time to get wet and wild. Kaka, 24, chose the latter option on March 1. Under the influence of alcohol, he created a major ruckus in east Delhi's Shakarpur area, smashing several parked cars with bricks and abusing local residents in no uncertain terms.

According to eyewitness Ranjeeta Sharma, the whole thing started at around 6 in the evening. Three cars suffered under Kaka's onslaught-- a Scorpio and two Santros. Shamim, the driver of one of the Santros, was wounded in the incident; he got five stitches on his head.

"My Santro car was badly damaged; all the glasses were broken and around 50,000 rupees was the cost incurred for repairs. Half of the amount was paid by the insurance company but I still need 25,000 rupees from the accused," local resident Farid Chughtai told MiD DAY. "The police reacted on time and a PCR van also reached the spot within a few minutes," Chughtai added.

According to the police, Kaka belongs to a middle class family, residing in Shakarpur area near School Block and is regarded as a nefarious character. "We arrested Kaka from the spot and registered a case under section 107/151 of the IPC and he is in custody," a police official said.

MiD DAY tried to get a reaction from Kaka's family, but they refused to respond.
