Uttarakhand HC chief justice shifted to Andhra HC

KM Joseph, Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court, has been transferred to the Andhra Pradesh High Court set up in Hyderabad


New Delhi: KM Joseph, Chief Justice of the Uttara-khand High Court, has been transferred to the Andhra Pradesh High Court set up in Hyderabad.

It was a bench headed by Joseph that had recently quashed President's Rule in the Congress-led Uttarakhand.

Simultaneously, acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale of the Hyderabad High Court has been posted as the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

Joseph, who passed out from the Government Law College (Ernakulam), enrolled as an advocate in Delhi in 1982.

He had practiced at the Kerala High Court as well before assuming the charge of Chief Justice of Uttarakhand in July 2014.
