When good times rolled

The Kimaya Avenue launch at The Collection in UB City had all the flamboyance of a Vijay Mallya event. Women in sheer chiffons and men in suits didn't mind camping in the cramped area outside the store, waiting for the business baron to make an appearance. Champagne and sushi were served to the guests.

We spotted Pradeep Hirani, Irfan Razak, Capt GR Gopinath and Pankaj Advani at the launch. Designers Manoviraj Khosla and Ramesh Sadhwani, and socialites Nafees Fazal, Leena Singh and Amrita Gokaney made small talk.
The fashion show highlighted couture, bridal and international menswear from designers Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Preeti Chandra, Shantanu and Nikhil. Prasad Bidapa choreographed the show.

Models Nichole Faria, Roshan Issac, Rakesh Chengappa and others walked the ramp. The showstopper was Kannada actress Ramya.
