Some of Bangalore's young professionals, passionate about Bullets, are planning to beat the stress by setting out on a three-day, 900-km ride to Ooty this monsoon. And while they are at it, they'll also be spreading the Save Greenu00a0 message.u00a0
"Bullets are our passion and going on a long ride during the rainy season is as de-stressing as it is adventurous," says Arvin Padmanabha, who runs an event management company in Bangalore.u00a0
Monsoon ride Setting off July 3, they will reach Ooty via Bandipur and Wayanad. Besides adventure biking, they will also meet different ethnic groups along the forest route, a change from their hectic routine in Bangalore.u00a0u00a0
"It is not just a test of endurance but a stimulating way to enjoy magnificent scenery, rich culture and to connect with villagers whose lifestyles have remained unchanged for generations," adds Hari Kumar, another Bulleteer.u00a0
Power bikes The monsoon ride will have almost all models of Royal Enfield, starting from those dating back to 1974 to the recent Machismo, and will include 350 cc, 500 cc bikes and Thunderbirds.u00a0u00a0u00a0
"We will spread the message to save the earth as we did during our expedition to Leh and Western Ghats recently. Passion and purpose go hand in hand during our expeditions. We will interact with bikers and young people in cities too," adds Arvin
Conditions apply
Stressed-out individuals in need of a break with a cause attached are welcome to join but conditions apply.
They have to be fit and their bikes well-conditioned. And the team lays down strict rules during the ride u2013 no drinking and driving, no speeding and rash road behaviour.

However, Arvin says, bikers can have a bit of fun on the two nights when they aren't riding.
