Over 150 fall ill after suspected food poisoning at Assam wedding

Over 150 people were taken ill in a suspected case of food poisoning after attending a wedding ceremony in Assam's Karbi Anglong district, an official said on Tuesday.

Two critically sick persons have been admitted to Diphu Medical College and Hospital here, while the others were undergoing treatment at the local government health facility, he said.

Most of the guests who attended the wedding in Pator Timung village in Bokoliaghat area on Monday started complaining of stomach ache, dysentery and vomiting by evening.
