With Bihar elections approaching, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi will attend the party’s CWC meeting in Patna on September 24. AICC says Bihar has become the centre of national politics as INDIA bloc seat-sharing talks progress and BJP faces allegations of “vote theft.”

In view of making a strong hold of Congress across the state with just a few days left for the election, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi will be present at its working committee meeting in Patna on September 24.

The AICC Bihar in-charge, Krishna Allavaru, said on Monday during a press conference, "The second war of independence in Bihar is a reason why the meeting has been scheduled in the state."

AICC Bihar-in-charge further stated that, "At the CWC meeting, we will be having AICC president Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. All other CWC members have also been invited. Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states are also expected," as cited by news agency PTI.

The Congress leader further alleged that the ruling BJP at the Centre was involved in "vote theft", and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was "like a student who does not study hard but takes recourse to unfair means for doing well in examinations," as cited by news agency PTI.

Bihar, where Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi recently took out an over 1,300-km 'Voter Adhikar Yatra', had become "the centre of national politics", Allavaru said.

He further added, "We are fighting the second war of independence in the state, a reason why the CWC meeting is being held here," as cited by PTI.

In reply to another question, he emphasised, "Talks on seat-sharing are being held on a positive note in the INDIA bloc, and we will soon come out with a viable formula. On the other hand, we find the BJP-led NDA in disarray."

When asked about whether the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will be named as the chief ministerial candidate of the INDIA bloc, with a stamp of approval from the Congress, the All India Congress Committee Bihar-in-charge, said, "At an appropriate time, all alliance partners will sit together and decide," as per PTI.

With the Bihar assembly polls due late this year, both the INDIA bloc and the NDA have been trying hard to create their prominence across the state.

While Nitish Kumar has been launching some great schemes across the state, Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA bloc are also trying hard by organising rallies such as ‘vote adhikar yatra'.
