Theu00a0Chatuhshrungi police are on the lookout for two bike-borne armed robbers after they took away two cell phones from a 60-year-old businessman at gunpoint on the busy Ganeshkhind Road on Sunday evening.

Bhojraj Hemraj Teli, owner of Chinchwad-based HYT Engineering Company, lodged the complaint in this regard at the Chatuhshrungi police station.

Teli, a resident of Senapati Bapat Road, was on his way home in a chauffeur-driven car around 7.30 pm on Sunday when two men on a motorcycle intercepted him, stopping his car opposite the Kasturba Vasahat near Bremen Chowk on Ganeshkhind Road.

The two men then entered the car. One of them sat beside the driver and threatened him with a knife while the other sat on the back seat and threatened to kill Teli with a revolver if he did not hand over his valuables. The men robbed Teli of two mobile phones worth Rs 10,000.

The police filed a case of robbery and common intention. Police Sub-Inspector D P Pachange is further investigating the case.
