The CBI on Friday named former Rajasthan minister and BJP MLA Rajendra Singh Rathore in its chargesheet in the Dara Singh fake encounter case, saying that he had a "strong motive and selfish interest" behind the murder. The investigating agency didn't make him an accused in the case. "I never had heard the name of Dara Singh until I read about him in the newspapers after his death," he told media persons. "This is a political encounter by the Congress through the CBI," Mr. Rathore alleged a political motive behind his being named. Rathore also offered to undergo a narco-analysis test if needed, to prove his innocence.
