A brothel keeper, who had forced three Bangladeshi minor girls into prostitution, was convicted on Wednesday.
The Pune sessions court announced seven year imprisonment for Rekha Krishana Tamang from Budhwar Peth after she was found guilty of forcing girls into prostitution.

Tamang was arrested on September 15, 2009, when the Social Security Cell of the Pune Police raided Sapana building in Budhwar Peth.

A member of an NGO said the minors were traumatised at the time of rescue. Unfortunately, two major girls rescued in the same raid, who had been kept in Mundhwa Remand Home, managed to flee, sources said.
