The Guide checked out an "affordable" art exhibition for the masses

If you are a budding art collector but don't wish to sell your house in the bargain, check out Art for Concern's annual show. At this event, you can check out the eclectic collection of art by masters and senior artists.

Organised by the Concern India Foundation, all the art works at the exhibition are priced under Rs 50,000.

The exhibition will feature works by artists like Akbar Padamsee, T Vaikuntam, Babu Xavier, Jehangir Jani and S Harsh Vardhana. You can also check out the abstract artworks of Pune-based artist Panduram Tathe, whose paintings are environment-related.

Concern India Foundation is a support organisation that works towards "helping people help themselves". It believes that people need opportunity and not charity and tries to provide a platform to upcoming artists. Aiding them in this initiative are artists who offer their work at affordable prices averaging between Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000.

Don't miss the art works by artist Sanjay Yadav, who is a peon working in an art gallery for the past few years. Surrounded by paintings day in and day out, he was inspired to pick up a brush and explore the artistic urge in him. Overall, the exhibition will feature a collection of 66 artworks by 38 artists.
