Municipal elections around the corner seem to have instilled fear among Congress leaders who feel that the anti- graft agitation at Ramleela Maidan might trigger adverse effects in the upcoming elections. The ministers gathered in a public meeting to discuss issues related to the Western region of Maharashtra's local self-government at Balgandharv Rangmandir, yesterday.

CM Prithviraj Chavan and Congress State President Manikrao Thakare were among the few who addressed the members. Pratik Patil, minister of state petroleum, said, that Hazare is following Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy and condemning the congress government.
