A special court at Delhi's Patiala House on Tuesday remanded Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, to the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) custody for 10 days in connection with the November 10 blast in the national capital, news agency ANI reported.

He was produced before the court amid heavy security arrangements earlier in the day.

Following a closed-door hearing, Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special NIA Judge) Anju Bajaj Chandana granted the NIA Wani's 10-day custodial remand, ANI reported.

According to court sources, the NIA argued that Wani's custodial interrogation was essential to uncover "the larger conspiracy" behind the November 10 Delhi Red Fort blast.

The agency submitted that the blast was intended "to strike terror and panic in the minds of people in the country as well as to threaten public order", ANI reported.

While seeking his remand, NIA highlighted Wani's role, stating that he was "an expert in drones" and had been contacted to design a precision rocket.

Wani, a resident of Kashmir, was arrested in Srinagar on Monday by an NIA team present in the Valley.

In a press release, NIA said that investigations had revealed that Wani allegedly provided technical support for terror attacks by modifying drones and attempting to develop rockets ahead of the deadly car bomb blast, which killed 15 people and injured several others.

The accused, who hails from Qazigund in Anantnag district, was described as an active co-conspirator who worked closely with terrorist Umar un Nabi to plan the attack, the agency said.

Wani was produced before the court on a day when several district courts, including Patiala House, Rohini and Saket, received bomb threats. All the three premises were evacuated, and security forces conducted thorough searches.

The threats were later confirmed to be hoaxes.

NIA stated that it is continuing to probe multiple angles to unravel the conspiracy behind the bombing. Several agency teams are pursuing leads and carrying out searches across different states to identify every individual involved in the terror attack.

Delhi Red Fort blast: Video justifying suicide attack found on bomber's phone

Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered the mobile phone of Red Fort suicide bomber Dr Umar-un-Nabi, with data from the device revealing that he had prepared a video portraying the attack as a "martyrdom operation," officers said on Tuesday.

The evidence came to light following the detention and interrogation of Zahoor Illahi, Umar's brother, who had been driving the explosive-laden car that detonated outside the Red Fort on November 10, killing 15 people, news agency PTI reported.

Illahi was taken into custody by a special team formed by Senior Superintendent of Police (Srinagar) G V Sundeep Chakravarthy, as investigations into the broader "white-collar terror module" began to unfold.

Initially, Illahi feigned ignorance but eventually broke down under sustained questioning, PTI reported. He revealed that Umar, who was in the Kashmir Valley between October 26 and 29, had handed him the mobile phone with instructions to "dump it in water" if any news about him emerged, officers said.

Illahi later led the police to the spot where the phone was discarded. Although the device was damaged, forensic experts were able to extract crucial data. The material strongly indicates Umar's deep radicalisation, including exposure to extremist content such as videos on suicide bombings by ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

The recovered data also showed that Umar had recorded multiple videos of himself discussing the suicide attack, claiming that such acts were among the most praised in the religion, PTI reported.
