Pop band Euphoria is back in the city for a noble cause. They are set to perform at the Green Concerts, which are being conducted to generate public interest about the Commonwealth Games as 'Green Games' and to motivate the public to join the Low Carbon Campaign.
Lead singer Palash Sen is pretty excited about his performance and believes that Pune is a delightful place to perform. "The audience is so intelligent that you cannot just play anything. They have great interest and knowledge about music, so its always fun playing here."Sen also believes its time the band started contributing towards environmental issues. "As public figures, it's our duty to create awareness among fans and motivate them to follow a more disciplined life when it comes to the environment. It depends on people on how seriously they are taking the issue as well." Environmental changes including the floods in Pakistan and India are serious issues, which is bothering the musician.
The band is also looking forward to releasing their upcoming album in November. "I can guarantee you that it will have some new exciting musical numbers related to issues like love, friendship and the recent political scenario."
They will also play some of the tracks from the album at the concert alongwith the anthem they have worked on for the Games, and a song specially created on environmental issues."
After lying low for four years, the band is back with new songs and two new members. And Sen is all praises for them adding that it has made a lot of difference to the band. "We have got Vinayak (keyboards) and Amborish (guitar) in the new line up. They are bright musicians and there is a lot of excitement in the band currently."
