Subhash Sharma (23), who was driving a Honda City, was on his way to Tavarakere with his friends after partying at Brigade Road.

When he saw the police at the State Bank of India Local Head Office junction on St Mark's Road, he got scared and wanted to get away as soon as possible. He put his vehicle in reverse and tried to flee.
BumpedAs Sharma was in a hurry, he didn't notice Manu Kumar Singh (30), who was just behind him on a Honda Activa and knocked him down from his scooter.
Singh, a resident of Frazer Town, was on his way home at the time of the incident.
No injuries
He escaped without any major injuries but his vehicle was damaged badly. "I was coming from Brigade Road and wanted to take a right turn on Museum Road.
However, I changed my mind and went straight. Later I realised and while trying to reverse my car, I knocked down Manu," said Sharma.
The constables, who caught his vehicle, said, "He was drunk and the breathalyser reading showed a readingu00a0 of 114. He will be booked for drink driving." Sharma was later booked for drink driving.
