It's not only the Palestinians who have been spending sleepless nights fearing Israeli air attacks, cyber crooks are also spending the night crafting Israel-Gaza war malware.

In circulationInternet security providers have noticed an email in circulation that appears to have come from a news channel that invites you to view exclusive pictures of Israel's bombardment of Gaza. Beware, the mail will not show any video, but plant a malware into your computer.
International Internet security provider Trend Micro says, "The mail in circulation appears to have come from CNN that seems to contain news about Israel's bombardment of Gaza. Within the body of the email is a link to a graphic video of Al Jazeera English Report related to the news.

Fake flash player"The link does not go to an actual video but to a phishing site that looks like a CNN web page. On the page is a 'click to play' icon where an error message pop ups if it is clicked. The message asks you to download the correct flash movie player. This will result in the download of a fake flash player file which contains malware. The file has been identified as 'Adobe Player10.exe'."
Security researchers are currently warning online users of this serious threat as they suspect thousands of fake CNN phishing emails have been sent out.
Data theftThe malware not only hacks into the computer, but is an information stealer that may log keystrokes that launches a sniffer to gain your passwords.
"Indians looking for updates and exclusive videos online become easy prey to such hackers. These hackers craft the malware and fake website with so much perfection that it is hard to detect fraud," an expert said.
