Three engines and 14 bogies of a goods train, laden with iron ore, derailed as the track in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh was found uprooted, police said


Three engines and 14 bogies of a goods train, laden with iron ore, derailed as the track in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh was found uprooted, police said.

Unidentified persons removed the fish plates and uprooted the track derailing the goods train engines and bogies near Tilabjhodi village in the district, District Superintendent of Police Sunderaj P told PTI.

The train was plying on the route between Kirandool and Vishakapattanam, he said.

Though no literature or posters were found from the site, police are probing whether Naxals were behind uprooting the track, he added.
