A residentu00a0of Pimpri ended his life under a train near the Kasarwadi station on Saturday night, said the police.

The police did not find a suicide note.

Raman's younger brother Umesh told the police, "Raman was depressed as he was dumped by the one he loved. He had started drinking because of this."

Bhosari Police Station Senior Police Inspector S S Neve said, "Raman had gone out for dinner with friends to Vadgaon Sheri at 1.30 am and while returning he may have committed suicide by stretching out on the tracks near Kasarwadi around 2 am."

Raman's body was identified only when Umesh reached Kasarwadi. The Bhosari police said Umesh was looking for his elder brother after he failed to return home. Raman's body was taken for post-mortem to YCM Hospital in Chinchwad.

The post-mortem report is awaited.
