Medicos at Bowring and Victoria Hospital respond to seven suicide calls in one night highest in 6 months
Victoria and Bowring Hospital's were brimming with activity last night.
The city's two major hospitals were inundated with suicide cases last night. More than seven cases of attempted suicide were registered marking it the highestu00a0 in a day in six months.
Hospital sources revealed that out of the seven cases, four people have died and the remaining are currently in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Chinnadamma (35), a resident of Gouripalya, was found hanging from the ceiling in her house at around 7 pm.
Police officials took her body to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where doctors confirmed her death. Her body was later transferred to Victoria mortuary.
Another patient by the name of Jnanavel was brought to the hospital after he tried to commit suicide by consuming rat poison.u00a0
Shankar (35) of Ramnagar district was admitted to Victoria Hospital after he consumed rat poison as well. His neighbour, Ranjanna, said, "Shankar was facing domestic problems since 2007 and was frustrated with life."
An unidentified person died at Bowring Hospital after he consumed rat poison.
Other than suicide cases, Victoria Hospital was also witness to accident cases. Adimoolan (54) from Yelahanka died in a road accident.
Also, Yeshwantpur native Paliswaran was admitted to Victoria hospital after meeting with an accident late last evening.
