Choose from over a hundred varieties of kebabs as Rahim's Mughal Darbar takes you on a royal ride
Food
Though the place is hard to locate, the fare makes up for the inconvenience. On the list of must-tries are Rahim's Chooza (chicken marinated in cream with 12 special herbs), Galauti Kebab and Pathar Ke Paarche (chicken/mutton pieces marinated in yogurt and cooked on stone) for carnivores. All the chicken and mutton preparations are priced at Rs 200 for six pieces, and Rs 120 for three pieces.
For the main course, you may club Chicken Akbari (Rs 150), Mutton Nahari (Rs 150) and Rara Gosht (Rs 170) with a variety of breads, like Mughlai Bakar-khani, Lucknawi Sheermaal and Taptaan (Rs 45 each). Sorry, no angrezi ice-creams or confectionary items on the desserts menu, everything is authentically traditional. The Firniu00a0 (Rs 30) and Shahi Tukda (Rs 30) should satiate your sweet cravings.
Drinks
The out-and-out family venue doesn't serve alcohol. Justifying the decision, Tahir says, "From a security point of view, serving alcohol isn't a wise decision. We don't want to disturb the family atmosphere at any cost."u00a0 As a result, all that you get to sip are aerated drinks and tea.
Ambience
Sorry, a poor score in this department. The shoddily done set-up fails to match the mast menu. The 95-seater space appears over-crowded during peak hours. Someu00a0 fine seating and luxury lighting would go a long way in adding that edge, we suggest.
