The cause of the fire is still unknown, and authorities continue firefighting operations.
A major fire erupted at the Ramesh Dyeing building in Pune's crowded Sadashiv Peth on Monday, triggering panic among residents and shopkeepers.
According to officials, the blaze began on the terrace and rapidly spread downward, sending thick plumes of smoke across adjoining lanes. People in nearby buildings rushed out as the situation intensified.
The Pune Fire Brigade and PMC Fire Department deployed several fire tenders and launched a joint operation to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to adjacent structures. Dense lanes and tightly packed buildings made access to the core area difficult, officials said.
So far, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and authorities continue firefighting operations. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
