Man booked for distributing gas stoves among voters

Muzaffarnagar: A candidate contesting for the post of gram pradhan in Athai village has been booked for allegedly distributing gas stoves to voters, police said.

Following a complaint, police seized 18 gas stoves with pamphlets of the candidate in the village under Bhopa police station last evening, Circle Officer Sukcham Prakash said.

The candidate, Dharemvir, has been booked for violating model code of conduct, the officer said.
