Auto drivers overcharge, prevent commuters from hiring rickshaws not queued up at stand
On Day 1 of Week 4 of MiD DAY and Radio One autorickshaw campaign along with the Traffic department and Regional Transport Office, 14 drivers were booked in and around Aundh.

The MiD DAY team found out that the autorickshaw drivers in Aundh refuse to go by meter and charge flat rates. They even demand half return to go to far off places.
The drivers at the rickshaw stand do not let the autos outside the stand take commuters. So, the commuters are notu00a0 left with any option but to go to the rickshaw stand to hire autos.
