Muslims to continue protests at Indo-Nepal border during Diwali

Gorakhpur: The protestors at the Maitri Bridge in No Man's Land at the Indo-Nepal border have said that the protests during the festival of Diwali and Chhath will continue with Muslims turning out in larger numbers as compared to Hindus.

For over two months now, the Madhesis and other minorities have been opposing Nepal's new Constitution, saying that their rights have not been safeguarded.

The authorities in Nepal continue to block all vehicles, attempting to enter India, as they suspect that people are smuggling fuel.

The authorities asked the people to park their vehicles in No Man's Land and enter India on foot.
