Love is in the air; and in the minds of the general populace in the Valentine week. We ask screen guys and gals to recall their most precious romantic moments on or off screen

"Recently, I renewed my vows 10 years after I had got married that was most romantic for me."

The day I first got married was very surreal. I got married in a church first then I had a nikah. It was very fairytale like. Ten years later, we renewed our vows again in a church in Goa.
"We had talked about renewing our vows in Las Vegas but I am not Vegas. I wanted something more intimate so I planned the whole thing. Arbaaz had no clue and he was shocked. I am more romantic than Arbaaz without a doubt (laughs)."

"Anupam walked in the rains all the way to south Bombay to meet me."
Kirron Kher

"I am a very romantic person. Can there be an age for tears, for fears, for happiness or for sadness? No. Similarly, if you are a romantic, you are always a romantic. I don't think even the expression of love changes with age. It's only the way you look that possibly changes in the eyes of the man who is looking at you (laughs).
"There have been lots of romantic moments in my life with Anupam. Ours is not the flowers-and-candlelight-dinner kind of romance. It's more about being together.
"I hold one incident close to my heart Anupam walked in the rains all the way to south Bombay to meet me. It happened in 1984. It was one of those extreme monsoon days in Mumbai. When it rains so hard that the water gets into the cars and they all stop. We were supposed to meet and I was so sad that I would miss him. All the taxis had stopped working. There were no mobiles so there was no word from him either. And then the door bell rang. I opened the door and Anupam was standing there, fully drenched! He had walked all the way from his home in Bandra or that's what he told me. Even if he had been exaggerating and had managed to come by train or by bus till some place, I know for a fact that at least from Worli he had walked till Carmicheal Road, where I was staying."u00a0

"I go moist-eyed when Anil Kapoor proposes to Sridevi in Lamhe."
Jiah Khan

u00a0"My most romantic moment onscreen has to be from Titanic u2013 especially when Leonardo takes Kate Winslet to his part of the ship and they dance. In Bollywood, I think Raj Kapoor and Nargis have given some fantastic romantic scenes. And I go moist-eyed towards the end of Yash Chopra's Lamhe when Anil Kapoor proposes to Sridevi. I find it most romantic. The ambience in this scene is lovely I love the fort backdrop because it definitely makes a scene much more romantic. And I guess it's always romantic when someone proposes to you. "I spend each Valentine Day with my mom. I don't think any guy has done anything special for me. I have never had an exciting Valentine's Day. Ever since I started celebrating Valentine's Day, my mom has given me sweets and a card."u00a0

"My Valentine proposal was a major surprise for my then girlfriend because I am not a Valentine's Day kind of guy."
Emraan Hashmi

"My favourite romantic moment would be the day I popped the question to my then girlfriend who is now my wife. And she said yes! This was three years back on Valentine's Day. My Valentine proposal was a major surprise for my then girlfriend because I am not a Valentine's Day kind of guy. I don't buy into the whole thing of getting cards.
I am really bad with that. I buy flowers only sometimes. "It just so happened that I thought it was an apt day. Instead of at a candlelight dinner, we were driving around the city when I popped the question. The most important decisions have been very matter of fact. It scares me to set up a candlelight dinner and then ask such a question. What if she had said 'no'?
"My wife is very simple and grounded. She has been with me through thick and thin and knows me inside out. She was with me before I became an actor. We were friends for over 12 years and have been married for three years now."u00a0

"We were marooned on a divider... and he was down on his knees, proposing everlasting love with a ring made out of chewing gum."
Nandana Sen

"The two of us were trying to cross Linking Road on foot in the worst possible traffic hour every time we tried to step across, we were rudely thrust back onto the divider by some monstrous oncoming truck or similarly terrifying vehicle. We realised we were marooned on the divider for the moment... and in a flash, he was down on his knees, arm stretched out, proposing everlasting love with a ring made out of chewing gum.
There was nothing around us but clouds of pollution, the stench of exhaust and deafening city chaos, but it was a brilliantly pure moment as romantic and ridiculous as it was rooted in our city reality! (Laughing) Later, he told me he figured I was trapped on the divider so I wouldn't be able to run away too easily."u00a0

"That Mughal-E-Azam scene was special because it was very erotic as well as beautiful."
Kangana Ranaut

"I can never forget the beautiful scene in Mughal-E-Azam where Madhubala is lying on Dilip Kumar's lap and he is caressing her face with a feather. That scene was special because it was erotic as well as beautiful. I saw the film two years back and was stunned by the beauty of this sequence."u00a0

"To cheer me up, this guy started doing all my jhatak matak moves."
Sameera Reddy

"Honestly, when you are single you don't want to remember all this (laughs). Guys have done all kinds of fancy things.
"Once, I was very tired because I had just come back from a dance show. To cheer me up, this guy started making fun of me in a cute way and started doing all my jhatak matak moves from the movies and started dancing really sweetly. It was such a nice moment.
"The most romantic moment onscreen is from Hum Dil Chuke Sanam when Aishwarya comes running back to Ajay Devgan at the end of the film. I think it was the ultimate romantic scene, it made me cry. I totally fell for Ajay's character in the film u2013 he was the ultimate strong Indian man."u00a0

"I must have seen Pretty Woman over a zillion times but it still touches my heart each time."
Shilpa Shetty

"My all-time favourite romantic moment onscreen is from Pretty Woman, in which Richard Gere comes to her house in the limousine and Julia Roberts looks out of the window and flashes her million-dollar smile. I must have seen Pretty Woman over a zillion times but it still touches my heart each time. Personally, there are lots of moments, I can't pin point one (laughs)."
