American guitarist Michael Angelo Batio will showcase his double guitar in Mumbai today
It's a gimmick all right, but guitar lovers who are suckers for speed will line up around the block for this shred fest. The biggest trick that guitarist Michael Angelo Batio plans to pull off today features his inventionu00a0-- the double guitar and his ambidextrous guitar playing skills. "It's what makes me who I am today. So, yes, I will be showcasing my double guitar for my Indian audiences," says the 54-year-old guitarist in an e-mail interview.
He counts guitarist Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave fame) among his many prot ufffdg ufffds. The Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton fan adds, "Speed and melody are two different paths to the same musical goal. My goal is to play exactly what I want and what I hear in my head."
