"We have sent her clothes, pillow cover and bed sheet which were recovered from her room to the forensic institute in Hyderabad. This might help in getting some vital clues and also lead the case in some direction. Varied versions of the case has made it quite unclear whether this is a case of murder or suicide," said sources in Jharkhand police who had come to Delhi for investigation.
The police are awaiting the CID's investigation report and finger print experts opinion to ascertain whether the suicide note was written by Nirupama or not. Meanwhile, the Jharkhand police contacted the HR manager of the business daily where Nirupama was working in Delhi. According to the police, the HR manager had earlier got a call stating that Nirupama would be resigning from her job. During the investigation it came to light that Nirupama's brother, Samrendra, had made that call and he even confessed, said the sources.
Earlier this week, Jharkhand police officials had come to Delhi and had questioned Nirupama's boyfriend Priyabhanshu and his friends. A senior Delhi police officer said they have provided Jharkhand police the call details of Priyabhanshu's mobile phone in a CD.
Meanwhile, Priyabhanshu's family on Monday demanded a CBI probe into the case.
