Police stopped people from meeting their loved ones at one of the hospitals when Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia arrived
Police personnel deployed at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital appeared indifferent to the sentiments of victims and their relatives when they prevented family members of those injured from meeting their loved ones. Angry people clashed with cops and security guards at the hospital.
The incident took place when Kiran Walia, the Delhi Health Minister, arrived at the hospital to meet the injured. Around 40 wounded people had been taken to LBS hospital for treatment.
"Who do you think you are? If your family members had met with such incidents what would you have done?" shouted Namita, a victim's relative.
Police personnel who were at LBS said that they had to stop public outside the gate, otherwise the situation inside each ward would become chaotic.
