PM Modi says Centre working closely with Assam government on flood relief

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Centre is working closely with the Assam government to provide relief to flood-affected people after reviewing the situation with Union ministers and BJP MPs from the state. At least 68 people have lost their lives in floods in Assam so far this year.

PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the central government is working closely with the Assam government in providing relief to the flood-affected people of the state.

Modi said this after meeting Union ministers and BJP MPs belonging to Assam here at the Parliament House complex.

As many as 68 people have lost their lives so far this year. "Centre is working closely with the Assam government. I pray for everyone's safety and well-being," PM said in a post on X.
