President Murmu is on a three-day visit to Uttarakhand until November 4. On November 3 and 4, she will be in Nainital to attend the 20th convocation ceremony of Kumaon University and present gold medals to meritorious students, among other events.

In view of the President's visit, Additional Director General of Police (ADG) V Murugesan held a meeting in Nainital with senior police officers and personnel of the Kumaon Range, directing them to ensure fool proof security arrangements and avoid any negligence during the programme.
Following the meeting, Kumaon Inspector General (IG) Riddhim Agarwal said that all preparations for the President's visit have been completed. Around 1,500 police personnel requisitioned from district headquarters have been deployed in Nainital, reported ANI. In addition, Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), sector magistrates, and forest staff have been stationed at key locations. The same day, she will attend a programme marking the 125th anniversary of the establishment of the Raj Bhavan in Nainital.
