Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER / RBSE) was established in Jaipur on 4th Dec, 1957 as per the Rajasthan Secondary Education. Then, BSER was shifted to Ajmer in 1961 i.e. headquarter of BSER / RBSE got shifted to Ajmer. Then, in the year 1973 RBSE started with its operations.

Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER / RBSE) is accountable for providing eminence education to the students, prescribing syllabus and looking after the whole on goings processes as regards to examination.

Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan took prompt action for endorsement and expansion of Secondary Education in Rajasthan and extended BSER in over 3,42,239 sq. km. About 6000 schools got affiliated with BSER that are placed in 32 districts. Approximately 8.5 lakhs students appeared for Secondary and Senior Secondary Examination in the year 2000. In 2014, the RBSE exams were apprehended amid 6th March 2014 till 28th March 2014.
