The GUIDE picks three exotic beers that you can try to up your fizz quotient this month

Oktoberfest may have come to an end all over the world, thankfully, we give you another reason to go ahead and say cheers, after we stumbled upon three rare beers that have hit the city's watering holes.

Leading the way is Tsingtao, the most popular beer in China that is quietly making inroads in the country.

Tsingtao is a rice based beer and is famous as its brewed with mineral water from the Laoshan Spring, which contributes to its characteristic flavour. Priced at Rs 150, this lager beer is available at major wine and beer shops across the city.

If you want a thick, creamy beer that tastes similar to chocolate, head to Sammy Sosa, and order a 500 ml can of Murphy's Irish Stout Beer. This sweet, dry stout beer has a unique flavour which reminds you of caramel and malt.

It is often described as a distant relative of chocolate milk, and is carbonated when the Co2 ball in the can is popped open, and falls inside the can, mixing with the beer to give you a frothy, creamy texture. It's priced at Rs 450, plus taxes.

For those who want the real thing, Harbour Bar serves the Jenlain Amber, a dark lager from France priced at Rs 375 plus taxes. Jenlain Amber is a craft beer, which means that it is made in small batches unlike the 95% of the worlds' beer, making them exclusive.
