Study finds one in four adolescents in Central Delhi sleep deprived

The study found that 326 of 1452 adolescents, 22.5 per cent, were sleep deprived, with those affected recording average academic grades of 64 per cent compared with 67 per cent among their peers who were not sleep deprived. It covered adolescents aged 12 to 18 years.

At least one in four school-going adolescents in Central Delhi was found to be sleep deprived, with poor sleep associated with lower academic performance and higher depressive symptoms, according to a study published in the Indian Journal of Community Medicine.
