Sixty-eight year-old auto spare dealer, Rishi from Delhi makes it into the Guinness with 220 flag tattoos worth USD 3000, but wants to beat that record

Formerly known as Har Parkash before he changed his name in 1991, Rishi is on a quest to cover his body with tattoos of 220 flags of the world's nations.

The 68 year-old auto spare part dealer so far claims to have over two hundred countries' banners already permanently inked into his skin, despite the disapproval of his wife at the cost: so far Rishi has spent over USD 3,000 on his record-breaking body art.

"My wife doesn't speak to me and always make fun of me", says Rishi. "I am no longer welcome to visit my son, who lives in the US. He says I have brought shame on my family. " Nevertheless, Rishi remains undeterred:
"I am going to make this latest attempt incredibly hard for anyone to break. If I can raise US$25,000 I will cover my body from top to toe. "I am also planning to tattoo a portrait of the Pope."

The Guinness Book of Records have already awarded him a certificate after his first 150 tattoos of countries' flags, but Rishi's previous feats in other record attempts are impressive by themselves -- he claims to hold over 30 world records although only five have been officially acknowledged.

These other bizarre and outlandish record claims include:

Hand-delivering a Domino's pizza from Delhi to San Francisco, a distance of 10,286 miles.

Becoming the world's oldest adopter at the age of 61 years 7months and 22 days, when he adopted his brother in law on 12th October 2001.

Removing all his teeth in order to fit in 755 drinking straws.

He changed his birth name, Har Parkash, to his new name in 1991, after keeping a scooter running non-stop for 30,965 km in 1001 hours as part of a 3-man team.

Writing the longest will in the world: 489 pages, or 1,040,567 characters.

Writing the shortest will of his life: "All to son"

Writing the smallest will in the world--499 characters engraved on a one-inch brass disc.

Creating the world's smallest greeting card: 4mm long, 2mm wide

Constructing the tallest sugar cube tower in the world.

Writing the world's smallest holy Quran. Of course, Mr Rishi's fixation with breaking records extends well into the future: he intends to drive around the world in a car painted with the flags of the world.

"I hope to meet all the heads of state, all the Prime ministers, Kings and Queens."

Certainly one particular tattoo should earn him the attention of the Guinness Book of Records above all others: a portrait of Jim Pattison, the entrepreneur who, as well as being one of Canada's wealthiest men, also happens to be the owner of the Guinness Book of Records franchise.

Tattoos have been considered sacred
The indigenous people of Japan (Ainus), North Africa (Berbers), New Zealand (Maori), and Taiwan (Atayal) all wear facial tattoos.
