Harry's, the new watering hole boasts of enough reasons to pop up beer bottles with friends, what with a complete range of beer from around the world, all priced at a flat Rs 110.

Irish enough!

With only a month since it opened its doors to the pubbers of Bangalore, Harry's Pub has a USP in its peaceful atmosphere and an excellent choice of beer and music.

An Irish pub usually serves a heady mix of beers and whiskeys and Harry's has taken care of that to perfection.

Priding itself on its wide varieties of beer, one can chose from Tiger, Budweiser, Tuborg, Carlsberg, and Beck or even the local favourite Kingfisher.

The rate fixed for the beers took me by surprise with all of them being made available at Rs 110 only. Cheers to that.

With a live DJ playing everyday and familiar 80s and 90s pop and rock hits to give you company, this pub might just be the perfect destination after a tiring day at work.

But its sitting outdoors that makes all the difference at Harry's. Not only does it offer you a good view of the street but also the privacy to sip your drink without the irritation of people staring at you.

However, do keep an eye for leaves falling as they just might slyly try being a part of your drink or food.

Another striking thing about this pub is their staff. They're really friendly and efficient and try really hard to make your evening a pleasant one.

The exhaustive menu in hand, was quite pleasing too.

We tried the Irish boxty that was garlic and mashed potatoes hand rolled in herbed bread and the chilly fries with wasabi prawns priced at Rs 100 and Rs 250 respectively.

All the dishes on the menu seemed to have been carefully picked to go with their signature drink, beer.

But, does the place that prides itself as an Irish pub have anything Irish at all? Well, it does, it is very much Irish with its du00e9cor and furniture, but somehow still has the feeling of a lounge.

The standard pool table and dartboards, the very standard in these pubs is saddeningly missing.

We also missed the Guinness and Cider, which are so necessary for an Irish pub, but then again, the management is trying to get them as soon as permission is given.

To give you my last word, I think this is a pub you ought to drop by at, especially if you really dig your beer.

Thirsty Kya? Here's a new pint destination

Sitting proudly on a bosky corner of 80ft Road in Indiranagar, Harry's Pub aims to give you the true Irish pub experience.

Indoors a DJ spins crowd-pleasing pop and rock, yet the vibe is still mellow enough for a quiet drink in a cozy corner or on the inviting outdoor terrace.

Stained-glass detailing and heavy wooden furniture give the place an Irish touch, but Harry's has a sleek and modern lounge feel that somewhat betrays the intention for it to be a true, casual pub.

The focus here, says the management, is on the beer, and they do boast of an impressive selection.

From rare Belgian trappist ales to selections from Mexico and the USA and good local favourites, beer aficionados will hopefully be distracted from the lack of Irish stouts and ciders behind the bar (which is due to licensing restrictions).

Another highlight is the cocktail selection. The restaurateurs responsible for Harry's have extensive credentials in Dubai, and they've brought their best cocktail mixing maestros to Bangalore with them.

Customers can pick from traditional favourites like Martinis and Cosmopolitans or take a chance with the Barman's Special you'll surely be rewarded if you do!

The menu combines pub favorites like fish and chips and Irish Boxty (seasoned, crumbed and fried balls of potato) with some Mexican and East Asian inspired dishes.

Artfully presented and delicately flavored, the food at Harry's makes you want to return again and again, and considering an evening here only lightens your pocket marginally you easily can!
