Who needs a book, when there're videogames, Internet, television, and cinema? Technology has folded the beautiful world of words like a paper boat and pushed it to distant shores.

And parents who want their children to inherit their sacred indulgence have to constantly struggle to get their child to read.

Masti Ki Paathshala: A reading session in progress

However, tables could be turned if the reading session is done through story telling and illustrations, along with art and craft, just like the 'Reading Caterpillar Club' does. Here's more info on the endeavour..

Book It: Involving the age group of zero to five years, their shelves have books that are bestsellers, award winning or both, modern classics and pictorial stories.

Each title is unique in stories, language and illustrations, and will keep your young ones hooked. There are also multilingual books (English, Spanish, French, and Hindi), folk tales of different countries and popular characters.

The books have been catalogued according to the title, age group, classification (animals, emotions, arts, drama and music, theme), author and publisher.

Tall Tales: "Even though there are reading sessions for children in the city, there is a demand for a reading club where children can read, draw or simply do their own stuff.

Before we add a book to our collection, we research on it, which includes picking up books from everywhere, including abroad," says owner Rabani Garg.

Need To Read: Here, every child undertakes around six reading sessions. The enrollments for these are done round the year, and classes take place accordingly. This apart, there is a library, where books can be borrowed and exchanged.

Also, there is a reading room where parents can read along with their wards, and pool in their collection of interesting books. Time to read on.
