Despite the current economic slowdown compelling most of us to reschedule our monthly expenses, there are slim chances of people forsaking their annual Diwali and winter vacations and explore new cities and countries

In order to tap such travellers, the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) is being held at the Nehru Centre, Worli. The three-day show, which was inaugurated in the presence of senior government tourism officials and travel industry representatives, will conclude on Sunday.

This year's TTF has seen growth of approximately 20 per cent over last year. "This augurs well for the industry and we predict a good Diwali season despite the economic gloom," said Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman and CEO of Fairfest Media Ltd, organiser of the show.

Bringing together more than 175 exhibitors from all over India as well as from five countries, the extravaganza is a one-stop shop of travel and tourism products, showcasing destinations and packages to help Mumbaiites plan and book their Diwali holidays. u00a0
