Training aircraft crash-lands in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj, pilot safe; DGCA begins probe

A Cessna 152 training aircraft operated by Chetak Aviation crash-landed in a field in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj on Monday during a solo training flight, officials said.

The aircraft, bearing registration VT-AFB, had taken off from Aligarh for a routine solo flying exercise.

According to preliminary information, the woman pilot was rescued and did not suffer serious injuries.

No casualties or injuries on the ground have been so far reported.

Aircraft landed in a field

The aircraft came down in an agricultural field in Kasganj after experiencing difficulties during the flight.

Further details about the extent of damage to the aircraft have not yet been released.

The DGCA is expected to submit its findings after completing the investigation.

Incident under investigation

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has stated that it is investigating the circumstances that led to the crash landing.
