Having completed 200 days in office, one would expect chief minister B S Yeddyurappa to do the 'victory lap' with a lot of enthusiasm.

But it was a different story when he visited select places in the city yesterday. He didn't even bother to get out of his vehicle to speak to the people, in three of the six places he visited.u00a0u00a0

"We are surprised and disappointed," said Vishwanath G, a shopkeeper in Magadi road.u00a0

Yedyurappa, who is also the chairman of ABIDe (Agenda for Bangalore Infrastructure development) task force, inspectedu00a0 infrastructure work at six places. This included the underpass at Magadi road tollgate, railway underpassu00a0 at Nayandalli, Magadi junction-Mysore peripheral road and flyoversu00a0 at Summanahalli and Yeshwantpur.

Of these, the Magadi road underpass work has been going on for the last one year. This has thrown the lives of shopkeepers and commuters on Chord Road out of gear.u00a0u00a0

Yet all the CM did was just drive past in his car. "We had planned to meet him and urge him to ensure speedy completion of work, but he was not available for us at all," said Puttaraju, former councillor, Saraswathinagar.u00a0u00a0u00a0
But he inspected the flyover work at Sumanahalli and Yeshwantpur, underpass work at Nayandalli and someu00a0 parks at Yelahanka.u00a0

"City rounds to address public grievances due to delay in projects will be a regular affair every Sunday," said Yeddyurappa.
