On being informed by the people about the incident police rushed to the spot and admitted the unidentified youth in the Sadar hospital but he died early this morning, they said.

The superintendent of the Sadar hospital Brajeswar Majumdar said some outsiders had beaten up a youth in the hospital compound on the suspicion of stealing a mobile phone and he was admitted by the police in the hospital but he died this morning.
