Raj Thackeray has organised a rally to protest the Elphinstone Road station stampede killed 23 people and injured 38 others. The rally started at Metro Cinema and will go up to Churchgate station

The Mumbai police did not grant the MNS protestors to march up to the Western Railway HQ. They then protested in the Metro region.
The MNS chief, Raj Thackeray posted a letter on his Facebook wall asking people to join the protest. It was expected that 5,000 protestors would be present at the rally.
MNS Chief Raj Thackeray was said to have attended the protest with 'folded hands', perhaps meaning for it to be a peaceful one
The rally is said to be a protest against the poor railway amenities. MNS workers were seen on local trains petitioning people to join their rally
The protestors had a number of signboards that depicted the MNS chief Raj Thackeray holding a whip in his hand and whipping Narendra Modi and other ministers
The number of protestors swelled quite swiftly and roads were soon choc-a-block with protestors
