Sheila Dixit funeral: Narendra Modi, Sonia Gandhi, others pay their respects

Senior Congress leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit passed away on July 20 following a cardiac arrest. Senior Congress leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit passed away on July 20, 2019, following a cardiac arrest. Dixit was 81-years-old and is survived by her son and daughter and their families.

Sheila Dikshit served as the Chief Minister of Delhi for 15 years and was the longest-serving Chief Minister of Delhi. She was first elected in 1998. She was appointed as the president of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee earlier this year before the Lok Sabha elections.
