massive Skills Fair in Uttar Pradesh Held By UP Government to encourage youth (PICS/ X )

UP CM Yogi Adityanath recently posted on his official 'X' account about the massive Skills Fair in Uttar Pradesh.

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, the Uttar Pradesh government organised a huge Skill Fair across all 75 districts, for trainees associated with AI innovation and to encourage and build advanced technology.

The central event, held in Lucknow, placed a spotlight on empowering youth through cutting-edge technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.

Young professionals who had excelled in various skill development programmes were recognised for their hard work and were honoured with the 'Industry Ambassador Award' as Youth Icons and new entrepreneurs, and the Skill Chariot was also flagged off.

One of the event's highlights was the ceremonial flag-off of the Skill Chariot, a mobile initiative designed to raise awareness about the state’s growing number of skill training programmes. The chariot will travel across districts, bringing opportunities and information directly to the doorsteps of aspiring learners.

A significant development during the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Prayagraj. This partnership aims to infuse smart technologies into skill development curricula, ensuring that trainees are better prepared for the rapidly evolving job market.

Moreover, according to the official statement by Yogi Adityanath, over the past eight years, Uttar Pradesh has made remarkable progress in reviving its traditional industries while also upgrading vocational training infrastructure. These efforts are part of the broader ‘New Uttar Pradesh’ vision, one that sees youth not just as beneficiaries of development, but as its driving force.
