Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva gets a warm welcome in the national capital ahead of the India-AI Impact Summit. Lula is being accompanied by a delegation of Brazilian business leaders
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, at Hyderabad House. "History has not always treated us kindly. Both our nations have experienced what it is like to be ruled by others," President Karis said, noting that both transitioned from "colonial yokes" to freedom following the World Wars and have since transformed into modern technological powerhouses
PM Modi also held a bilateral meeting with his Croatian counterpart, Andrej Plenkovic, where the two leaders reviewed the India-Croatia ties and explored avenues to expand cooperation in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, information and communication technologies, innovation, and clean energy
Further, PM Modi held talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and discussed ways to deepen cooperation in areas such as defence, manufacturing, fertilisers and infrastructure
The President of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, is also one of the attendees of the AI Impact Summit 2026. PM Modi on Wednesday held a "productive" meeting with him and discussed ways to boost the India-Spain friendship, especially in areas such as defence, security and technology.
