Twisha Sharma, a resident of Noida, had married Bhopal resident Samarth Singh in December 2025. Following her death, her family alleged that she was subjected to dowry-related harassment by her husband and his family

The case includes serious charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961

The agency attempted to develop a minute by minute timeline to understand the death of Sharma who allegedly died by suicide in the terrace of her marital home in Katara Hills, Bhopal

A dummy weighing similar to the deceased was used to mimic the crime scene in the presence of both Samarth and Giribala Singh who were asked to enact and explain events after the incident

In a significant development, the Bhopal District Court sent former judge Giribala Singh and Samarth Singh, to five-day CBI custody till June 2.
