On Thursday, 22 May, the nine-member Indian delegation landed in Tokyo. The delegation is on a five-nation visit for Operation Sindoor global outreach. Led by Janta Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar, this delegation also includes eight other members of Parliament across various political parties.

The diplomatic delegation from India, led by Sanjay Kumar Jha from Janta Dal (United), includes Ambassador Mohan Kumar, BJP MP Dr Hemang Joshi, CPI(M) MP John Brittas, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, BJP MP Brij Lal, and BJP MP Pradan Barua

The delegation aims to brief international partners on India's response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and its broader fight against cross-border terrorism while engaging with leaders in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore

BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, who is a member of an all-party delegation, said that the delegation will hold a series of meetings with different officials from the Japanese government

A delegation of Members of Parliament led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha held a meeting with India's ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, at the Embassy of India in Tokyo. Sibi George briefed the MPs during the meeting

India had launched Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that took place on April 22
