Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the one-month long Kashi-Tamil Sangamam in Varanasi today. Kashi Tamil Sangamam is being organized in Kashi from 17th November to 16th December. Kashi and Tamil Nadu both are timeless centers of culture and civilization. Both regions are the centers of the oldest languages, Sanskrit and Tamil, says PM Modi. Music maestro Ilayaraja performed at the inaugural ceremony.
