In a disturbing turn of events following the election results, at least three people have lost their lives in separate incidents reported from Kolkata, Birbhum, and North 24 Parganas. One of the most shocking developments comes from the Bhalliguri area in New Town, where BJP worker Madhu Mondal was killed during what was meant to be a victory procession. According to police sources, the situation escalated after an argument during the rally, eventually turning violent. Tensions have also escalated in Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas, where clashes between rival TMC factions during a late-night patrol reportedly involved gunfire and crude bombs. The confrontation left at least five security personnel injured, raising serious concerns about law and order in the region.
